Dog in need of rehoming

Copper is a very energetic who loves to play tug of war. He is also a big cuddler and loves to hang out at home with his people! He does not do good with other dogs and he is currently in a home with a cat, but it took some training to get used to his little friend. He would need training and would have to be watched with another little friend but it would probably be best if he was in a single pet home. To my knowledge he has never been around children so i’m not sure how he is around kids, but it would probably be best if he went to a home with adults only. He is house trained and knows many commands such as sit, stay, lay down and shake. He likes to go on walks, hikes, go on runs, and sniffing every new smell he can find. He has displayed protective aggression with some of my family members when they approach me or around the home in spaces he views as his such as where his food bowl is. The same goes for new people. He can easily be introduced to people if they give him space and allow him to approach on his own terms instead of being pet immediately.
I adopted him with my previous partner last year in Nevada but had some major life changes occur at the end of last year and had to abruptly move home with my parents. He was my exes dog but due to the situation he got stuck with me during the split/move back. I don’t have the space or time between my two jobs to provide him with the fulfilling life I know he deserves. He need someone who is willing to give him the time and be patient with him so he can be the best boy I know he can be.  Call me if interested:  707-385-3816.
