Great with toddlers -Smart Sweet Blue Heeler / German Shepard female

She has a chip but we didn’t fill it out cuz I knew I may not be able to keep her.

She has a 2 year old and a 4 year old and 7 and 10 year old little boys who will
Miss her – but my daughter is allergic to dogs and cats we found out

Heart breaking however she also would love to have an acre or two — and cows to herd. She would love a job. I take her one or two times a day to Helen Putnam dog park in Cotati – and she loves to chase and be chased. She’s submissive with others dogs and has bigger and smaller doggies that she loves playing with and rolling around and putting her big open mouth around the neck or the other dog will do it to her or they go back and forth — very cool to see how they are careful but being dogs.

She is super protective of us and barks at strangers. And is shy to be touched by others and unless they are family or regulars in her life. She doesn’t or hasn’t bitten anyone however she will bark at people unless they give her a treat or if at the dog park — she goes thru other people’s legs and that’s their chance to pet her.

We have met some people who if they sit on the ground and put their hand out she will sniff and then she will allow people to pet her – so shy at first to strangers

But for a security bark – she’s got a great loud bark. We have a crate for her that I only use if we have guests cuz she barks every time they come in the room but if she’s in the crate she won’t bark

And if I travel – she sleeps in the crate at Airbnbs- cuz would love to sleep in bed with me but she sleeps in her pillow in the house next to the crate –

She is still a puppy and has been a have chewy toys and she has to go for 3 or more walks a day or to dog park at least one time to exercise or she wil be board and she will chew on your furniture out of being board and unstimulated

She is an Australian cattle dog – brilliant and can learn really fast. Her abilities for us are the usual heel, sit, stay – we stay “touch” not come – she comes and puts her nose on your open hand

Her cool things are that whe can bring the toddlers back – and when they go one way – she blocks them and goes back and forth in a zig zag

She does that when I walk her too she will zig zag and I started saying RIGHT over and over and she goes right. And then left left left and she goes left

Sh can learn so much more so if you have time and desire – she could do anything – main thing is she wants to be with you all the time. And loves car rides but not more than 20 or 30 mins or she can throw up.

For that reason I never drive until an hour after she eats or I don’t feed her if we go to the dog park in the morning before the hot sun is coming up.

I am gonna miss her – I saved her from her pregnant momma getting aggressive with her. My son in law wanted to keep her on his ranch but the mom picked on her – her mom and her dad were both blue heeler mix. One was a black German Shepard and blue heeler mix. And her dad was a full blue heeler with red heeler.

Her feel are red heeler spots and under her chin is red heeler spots.
