School Programs

Bring Humane Education into your classroom!  Invite our trained staff and volunteers to present a fun and educational program on a variety of topics.  Presentations generally include a live, friendly animal and follow-up handouts for the teacher to continue the important concepts taught.

topics include:

Kindergarten – Pets are Wonderful  (basic care)

1st Grade – Pets are like People (similarities/differences)

2nd Grade – Safety Around Animals (bite prevention program)

3rd Grade – Community Animal Helpers (role of the shelter/animal control)

4th Grade – Responsible Pet Care (basic care, geared up)

5th Grade – Working with Animals (careers in the animal field)

Any of these topics can be geared up for Middle School Students

Careers with Animals and Animal Rights are available for High School Groups
