Summer Camp

Every summer brings the sound of fun and laughter to our shelter as kids of all ages participate in our Kidz ‘n Critters Summer Camp program.  Each one-week session is specially geared to a particular grade level so kids have a chance to not only learn about animals but make new friends as well.

Registration will open to residents on March 21 and to non-residents on March 28.  Applications are available online here, or contact Community Services at 707-588-3456.

Our camp program is:

Educational – with various animal experts sharing their passion and knowledge as guest speakers, complimented with videos and activity sheets/handouts

Fun – with various games, activities, and crafts.

Hands-on – time each day is spent socializing the shelter animals

Relevant – helps children learn about responsible pet care

Interesting – topics range from protecting wildlife, why spay/neuter, what is a community cat, careers working with animals, and more!
